We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with board certification in Critical Care to join its Cardiovascular ICU team. This role involves direct patient management of HVI CCU (Heart & Vascular Institute Cardiac Care Unit) patients, including those with VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplants. The provider will work closely with intensivists and an interdisciplinary team in a Trauma Level 1 facility with 30 ICU beds.
- Provide critical care management for cardiovascular ICU patients.
- Perform daily rounding, patient management, and order entry under the supervision of intensivists.
- Manage admissions, post-operative care, and advanced cardiac procedures.
- Conduct procedures including arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and IABP removal.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
Job Responsibilities
Perform daily rounding, patient management, and order entry under the supervision of intensivists.

Conduct procedures including arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and IABP removal.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
Qualifications
Board Certification: Required in Critical Care Specialty.
Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, and AR certification.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a critical care cardiac ICU unit.
Hands-on experience with VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant management.
Hospital Privileges: Not required.
Working Hours
Hours: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
Includes: Night shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of the rotation.
No Call Responsibilities.
Skills
Proficiency in performing advanced procedures (arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheterization, etc.).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced ICU environment.
Strong documentation and workflow management using Cerner EMR.
