PA or an NP with a background/experience in Neurosurgery/Neuro Critical Care/Neurology/Stroke
** MUST BE ENLS Certified**
** Open to licensing **
Schedule: FULL TIME-40 hours a week-Clinic Mon-Fri from 7am-4pm with 24 hour call every 3-4 days and every 3rd weekend
Support Staff: 2-3 NPs, 4 MDs, Nurse navigator, CMA
Frequency of Weekend Call Requirement: 1-2 times a month
Frequency of weekday Call Requirement: every 3-4 days and 3 day weekend
Interview Process: Zoom
Length of need: 6 months
Department Description: Neuro endovascular advanced practice provider manages inpatient service, elective procedures, consults, admissions, discharges, daily progress notes, acute stroke triage, pre and post operative orders.
Patient Volume: 10-20 a day-All ages but mostly adults
Documentation System: EPIC EMR, AGFA Imaging
Technology in use: cell phone necessary; lap top will be provided, scrubs provided
Special Procedure/Unit Details: Assist in evaluation/diagnosis & management of patients undergoing diagnostic cerebral angiogram, aneurysm/AVM/DAVF embolization, middle meningeal artery embolization, acute mechanical thrombectomy, carotid stenting, external ventricular drain placement, blunt vascular injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, ICH and ischemic stroke; Neuro ICU, Neuro/trauma ICU and stepdown neuro units.
Certification Preferred: ACNP, AGACNP, PA, BLS, ACLS, ENLS
Certifications Required (please specify exact certs or BC specialties required): Nurse Practitioner/PA license in SC; ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification, ENLS
Skills Preferred: neurology and neuro critical care patient management experience, stroke management/thrombectomy ,neurosurgery experience (OR experience not necessary), EVD placement
Skills Required: Critical Care / Neurology or Neurosurgery would be a bonus but not required
Minimum Experience Required: 2+ years of APP experience
