HOSPITAL DETAILS: 974 bed tertiary referral center, Level I trauma center, EPIC EMR

Option 1: The CVS Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina:

-Location: 80 miles East of Raleigh, North Carolina

-Unit: Cardiothoracic Surgery Intermediate Unit

-Duration: 1-2 months of coverage (with possibility for extension or conversion permanent)

-Shift: 6:30a-4:30p (16 shifts per month)

-Schedule: 4, 10-hour shifts, days vary Monday-Friday and weekend coverage

-Average volume: 16-22 patients (8-13/APP)

-Ability to work with a nationally recognized cardiac surgery team of 6 MDs

-CVICU team covers nights

-Clinical responsibilities include post-operative inpatient and outpatient care and inpatient consults

-Procedures: thoracentesis, pulling chest tubes and pacing wires

-Required: Cardiac surgery experience, BLS, ACLS, Board certified, North Carolina license.


Option 2: The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina:

- Location: 80 miles East of Raleigh, North Carolina

- Unit: Cardiothoracic Surgery CVICU unit

- Duration: July 15 – October 31

- Shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a (7 on, 7 off or 14 on, 14 off

- Schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts, nights and weekends

- Average # of total inpatient census: 12-14

- Average # of admissions per day: 5-6

- Procedures: arterial lines, central lines, and chest tube placement. (knowledge of ECMO preferred)

- Required: BLS, ACLS, Board certified, North Carolina license
