NP/PA Cariology and Thoracic opening outside of Cincinnati
Located in Edgewood, KY; Cincinnati 10m

Scheduled Hours: 40 per week
Position Overview:
Provide pre- and post-operative care for thoracic surgery patients
First-assist in thoracic surgeries, including video-assisted, robotic-assisted, and open procedures
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including oncology, pulmonology, radiology, and gastroenterology specialists
Work closely with thoracic surgeons and other APPs in a high-volume practice
Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:
- Perform assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
- Interpret diagnostic data and coordinate patient care plans
- Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on treatment plans
- Prescribe and dispense medications as permitted under state law
Surgical First Assist (For Qualified APPs):
- Utilize advanced surgical instruments, including robotic technology
- Assist in procedures involving the lung, esophagus, chest wall, and mediastinum
Planning & Collaboration:
- Organize and prioritize clinical responsibilities efficiently
- Communicate effectively with supervising physicians and healthcare staff
- Participate in call coverage as needed
Requirements:
For Nurse Practitioners:
- Master s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- National certification in an applicable specialty
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in KY
- Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician
- DEA certification with prescribing/dispensing privileges
For Physician Assistants:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification and active PA license in KY
- DEA certification with prescribing/dispensing privileges
General Requirements:
- SEH medical staff privileges as an advanced practice provider
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in acute care or ambulatory settings
- Strong computer skills, including EMR proficiency
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to perform well under emergent and high-stress situations
