Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Physician Assistant, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work alongside Chair of Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery
  • With approval of supervising physician, orders diagnostic and laboratory tests. Reports results of all clinical and diagnostic findings to supervise physicians and with him/her, communicates results of medical examinations to patients.
  • Formulates appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans, writes appropriate orders.
  • Performs procedures on patients as defined in the Department/Division Delineation of Privileges.
  • Documents all diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and other relevant information in patient’s chart.
  • Notifies attending physicians of any change of patient’s status or unexpected events requiring direct physician consultation.
  • Participates in patient care rounds, teaching conferences and appropriate quality assurance meetings.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, compliance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2-3+ years of experience in Women’s Health/ OBGYN
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited PA program.
  • Licensed by the NY State Department of Education
  • Board certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification for Physicians Assistant)
  • BCLS certification. ACLS certification if departmental requirement
  • Valid DEA number
