Cardiology Physician Assistant - Hamilton Township, NJ

Job Description:
The Cardiology NP/PA will work in collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide advanced care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients, conducting diagnostic tests, interpreting results, and developing individualized treatment plans. The role emphasizes continuity of care through patient education and follow-up management. This position also requires coordinating with referring physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cardiologists to provide comprehensive cardiac care.

Perform physical examinations, diagnose cardiac conditions, and develop treatment plans.

Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests like EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms.

Manage follow-up care, medication adjustments, and patient education.

Ensure continuity of care through effective communication with referring physicians and healthcare teams.
Qualification/Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in cardiology, with expertise in both inpatient and outpatient settings, is required.

Hospitalist experience may be considered if it includes a significant focus on managing a cardiac patient population.

Comfortable with independently assessing, diagnosing, and managing the care of cardiac patients, including the development and implementation of treatment plans.

Experience with independently performing cardiac stress testing is preferred but not required, as training can be provided if necessary.

Proficient in interpreting EKGs with expert-level accuracy.
Licenses/Certifications:

An active RN and NP or PA license in the state of New Jersey, along with a valid Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification, is required.
