CarolinaEast Medical Center, a distinguished 350-bed acute care hospital renowned for its accolades, proudly stands as the first hospital in North Carolina and #11 in the USA to achieve accreditation as a Cardiac Center of Excellence by the American Heart Association.

We are currently seeking a dedicated PA to join our esteemed Electrophysiology team. This team is an integral part of our robust cardiology department, which includes 13 cardiologists (comprising 5 interventional, 1 invasive, and 3 Electrophysiologists), alongside 10 Advanced Practice Practitioners.

Job Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough patient assessments and manage care according to federal and state guidelines,
adhering to evidence-based practices.
- Oversee inpatient services, encompassing rounds, admissions, consultations, and discharges.
- Manage designated outpatient clinics and follow-up appointments.
- Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients within the scope of direct care
services.
- Foster teamwork through effective communication and collaboration with healthcare team members.

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- Current licensure from North Carolina
- BLS/ACLS certification.
- Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of experience in managing Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology
patients.

Skills

Our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) deliver specialized care independently, focusing on patients before and after electrophysiology procedures. This includes expert management of diverse cardiac arrhythmias such as CTI, PVI, AVNRT, SVT, and VT. Proficiency in device interrogation and interpretation a plus but not required.
