Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$15.64 - $18.75 / hour
Summary
The Laboratory Assistant I - Outreach Financial is responsible for the registration of Laboratory Outpatients in the computer system. Other financial duties include performing insurance verification, reviewing patient accounts for proper diagnosis coding, and processing necessary forms (eg ABN) and documentation to ensure payment of services. Responsibilities also include posting payments from patients and client accounts in the computer system and preparing bank deposits. Specimen processing duties include receipt of specimens, test order entry and distribution. Clerical duties include but are not limited to filing, scanning documents, phone reception, etc. in addition to basic computer skills in the laboratory and hospital information systems.
