We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular health, excellent clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. This role involves working closely with cardiologists to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with various heart conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and blood work.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
- Provide patient education on managing heart conditions, medications, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient care, including follow-up appointments and discharge planning.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
- NY State licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related field (preferred).
- Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
