Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Cardiology) - Tulsa, OK

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Cardiology Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with our Cardiologists to provide exceptional care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for improving patient outcomes in the field of cardiology.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
  • Collaborate with Cardiologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with various cardiovascular conditions, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular disorders.
  • Perform and assist with various cardiology procedures such as stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac catheterizations under the supervision of a physician.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies relevant to cardiology care.
  • Provide patient education on cardiovascular disease prevention, management of risk factors, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure timely follow-up care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Licensed by the State of Oklahoma as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and in good standing with the state medical board
  • At least 2 years of experience in cardiology, cardiovascular disease, or cardiovascular health or a related field is preferred
