A health services network in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join their growing Interventional Cardiology team as their new Chief Physician Assistant, Interventional Cardiology.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 7am to 5:30pm
  • Department: Cardiology

Responsibilities:

  • Interview and train new Physician Assistants (PAs) for the Interventional Cardiology section
  • Provide general supervision of PAs, including reviewing performance and assisting with disciplinary actions
  • Prepare work schedules and assist with payroll management for department PAs
  • Collaborate in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures
  • Serve as a liaison between department staff, nursing units, referring physicians, house staff officers, and secretarial staff
  • Handle administrative tasks related to PAs in the department
  • Participate in leadership activities and training initiatives
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited PA program
  • NYS Physician Assistant (PA) license
  • Certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA
  • Proven ability to manage staff and lead a team

Desired Skills:

  • Master's Degree
  • Cardiology experience
