**Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Pre-Anesthesia Clinic in Coos Bay, OR**

**Position Details**
- Full-time
- Shift as assigned
- Provides key support to the Pre-Anesthesia Clinic, aiming to optimize patient health in preparation for upcoming surgeries or procedures
- Interactions with patients may include in-person evaluations, virtual encounters, and chart reviews
- The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed, independent practitioner responsible for assessing and managing health problems in patients scheduled for surgery or procedures at BAH, following State and Federal rules and regulations and within the nursing standards of care
- Experience with both general medicine (e.g., Family Medicine) and surgery desirable

- Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth and collaborating with others to provide solutions for continued patient quality
- Physical/Mental/Environmental Requirements:
- Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
- Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
- Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision
- Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects
- Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair, or wheelchair
- Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids
- Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
- May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
- May require periodic use of personal computer

**Position Requirements**
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (prior to start)
Oregon license (or willing to obtain)
