PA Orthopedic Surgery opening near Boston, MA - Located in Woburn, MA - Boston 10m - Full-time, permanent position As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves working closely with our orthopedic surgeons in clinical consultations, pre- and post-operative care, and assisting in surgical procedures. The PA will also be responsible for patient education, treatment planning, and maintaining patient documentation. - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing interpretation. - Educate patients on their condition, treatment plans, and postoperative care. - Perform in-office procedures, including joint injections, casting, and splinting. - Manage follow-up appointments, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary. - Provide first-assist support during various orthopedic surgeries, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. - Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervising Physician or Executive Director. Requirements - Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. - Current PA license in Massachusetts. - Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). - Prior experience in orthopedics or surgical assistance is highly desirable. - BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred. - Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient education and team collaboration. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
