**NP/PA Oncologist opening in VT** **Located in Rutland** **Full Time and Permanent Position** We are looking for a full-time, Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for our Cancer Center. **Job Description** Our comprehensive community cancer center manages patients in multiple settings: cancer clinic, inpatient, emergency room, and telehealth. Working collaboratively with physician and nurse partners to provide patient and family-centered care. M-F 8:00am 4:30pm, no weeknight call, one weekend per month on call coverage. Regional Medical Center is a 144-bed hospital, employing over 1,800 professional and support staff including over 240 providers trained in more than 40 specialty areas. Providing preventive, diagnostic, acute and rehabilitative services, Regional Medical Center serves Rutland County, portions of southern and central Vermont and communities in eastern New York State. **Minimum Education** Masters degree in nursing or Graduate of an American Medical Association approved Physician Assistant educational program. **Minimum Work Experience** 2 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in specialty area being sought **Required Licenses/Certifications** Registration with the Vermont State Education Department as a Nurse Practitioner and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or equivalent certifying bodies, or Registration with the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice as a Physician's Assistant and certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physicians Assistants. Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC) per specific department operational framework. Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines. **Required Skills and Abilities** Able to take medical history, assess medical condition and interpret findings. Able to prepare and maintain records, write reports and respond to correspondence. Skilled in developing and maintaining quality assurance and a continuous quality improvement program. Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with patients, staff, and public. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of human relations, group dynamics, and quality improvement techniques. Able to work despite interruptions. Able to meet deadlines under pressure.
