**Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiology opening in Kansas** Salina, KS 90 miles from Wichita - Cardiology - Full Time - Day Shift - Monday to Friday POSITION SUMMARY The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with the designation of APRN or PA-C works in collaboration with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients in the clinical setting under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and collaborating Physician(s). This position is responsible for evaluating patients and providing services that help enhance the physicians care of patients in the cardiology service line. In addition, this APP will order, interpret, and record the results of clinical tests and health incentives. Makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment to the Primary Care Physicians as needed. Familiar with advanced concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a variety of illnesses presented. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Advance Practice Provider functions as a consultant, facilitator, educator, change agent, program designer, and resource person to a defined patient population and caregivers. Advanced clinical practice distinguishes this position, supported by knowledge and competence in the areas of research, leadership, consultation, education, and professional growth. The Advance Practice Provider assumes a leadership role in strengthening collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare leaders, and nurses in various settings to improve patient/family outcomes associated with cardiology. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - Master's degree from an accredited advanced registered nursing program, or Bachelor of Science/Masters degree from an accredited physician assistant program - No previous experience required - Current Kansas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse APRN license, or current Kansas Physician Assistant (PA-C) license
