**Oncology NP Opening Near Syracuse, NY** * Located in ***Oneida, NY*** - Syracuse 32m * Full-time * Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at our outpatient Medical Oncology Center in Oneida. * Monday-Friday with call responsibilities * 12 exam rooms and a 12-chair infusion floor led by our experienced team comprised of one board-certified physician and two Nurse Practitioners. * The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can hit the ground running as this practice is positioned for growth. * Additional compensation is provided when on call. **Compensation & Benefits** * $105,000.00 - $135,000.00 Salary/year * Free and Convenient Parking * CME Reimbursement * Employee Fitness Center * Generous Paid Time Off accruing day one * 403 (b) matching up to 3% * No Deductible Health Insurance, Flex Spending, Vision, Dental, Disability, and Life **Qualifications** * Education: Masters of Science in Nursing * License: NY Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority * Experience: Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting and/or two years of nurse practitioner experience preferred. (Oncology experience preferred) * Certification: Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioners (AOCNP) preferred. **Responsibilities** * Assessing and establishing a presumptive diagnosis and implementing treatment plans * Making accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record (OncoEMR) * Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice * Prescribing, adjusting, or discontinuing medications or therapies as appropriate * Evaluating and reporting to the physician any circumstances or test results that present a significant risk to the patient's health or well-being * Performing procedures within the scope of practice of the Nurse Practitioner license. * Communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, PCP, and referring staff * Instilling confidence in patients acting as their advocate by providing safe, ethical care and health education to the patient and family * Providing an exceptional experience for our patients
