Radiation Oncology (NP/PA) opening in Astoria, OR_x000D_ _x000D_ Full time, permanent_x000D_ Days_x000D_ Relocation_x000D_ 2 years experience required_x000D_ NP or PA_x000D_ _x000D_ Hospital is seeking an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join Radiation Oncology clinic at Hospital in Astoria, Oregon. _x000D_ _x000D_ Function/Duties of Position_x000D_ Deliver patient care services under physician supervision in the Radiation Oncology Clinic:_x000D_ Takes patient histories and performs physical examinations._x000D_ Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients._x000D_ Performs daily patient rounds._x000D_ Confers with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care._x000D_ Upon discharge, notes discharge summaries, prescriptions, and any referrals on patient charts._x000D_ Informs patients of the necessary post-discharge care instructions._x000D_ Evaluates outpatient Radiation Oncology patients for treatment, contributes to the treatment plan, manages the care of patients undergoing radiation therapy, and provide post-therapy follow up care as applicable._x000D_ Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, comprehensive patient education, and psychosocial support of the patient and family experiencing cancer._x000D_ Acts as a resource to Physicist, Radiation Therapists, Registered Nurse, and Medical Assistant_x000D_ Required Qualifications_x000D_ _x000D_ Nurse Practitioner: Valid State of Oregon Registered Nurse license, current Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Oregon, State of Oregon Nurse Practitioner Prescriptive Privileges, Recommend membership in professional nursing organization. Recommended oncology certification required within one year after hire._x000D_ _x000D_ Physician Assistant: Valid State of Oregon Physician Assistant license, current Physician Assistant license for State of Oregon, State of Oregon Licensure under CMH MD, Recommend membership in professional organization._x000D_ BLS certification required._x000D_ _x000D_ Applicants must have a minimum of two years experience, preferably in oncology._x000D_
