A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking a new, licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join one of their facilities in Rockland County. In this role, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing general clinical care including assessments, medication management and medication administration.

Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations to clients
- Provide treatment planning recommendations
- Handle medication management
- Provide psychiatric emergency crisis management and consultation
- Participate in clinical training and staff development
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory and accrediting agency standards
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Master's Degree from a Nurse Practitioner program in Psychiatric-Mental Health.
- NYS RN and NP (Psychiatry and Mental Health) licensures
- Suboxone license
- Methadone experience
- Valid DEA registration
- BLS certification
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- National Board Certification (PMHNP) within 12 months of hire
- Experience in Addiction Medicine, Substance Abuse, and/or Mental Health Treatment programs
- Familiarity with OASAS, OMH, and DOH regulations
- Knowledge of techniques for identifying and preventing potentially violent behavior, including Crisis Management techniques
