The Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology, University of Missouri invites applications for a tenure-track position (Assistant to Full Professor). The successful candidate must have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in physiology, pharmacology, or related fields and significant extramural funding. Preference will be given to candidates who (i) are able to integrate molecular and cellular approaches and apply basic findings to impact human health in an effective “discovery-to-care continuum”, (ii) will contribute to a culture of innovation, and (iii) can provide expertise that contributes to expansion of School of Medicine-wide programmatic initiatives in vascular biology, lymphatics biology and disease, cardiac myocyte biology, and tissue repair research. Candidates with expertise in computational modeling and how inflammation, diabetes, cancer, aging, gut microbiome or gender regulates the cardiovascular and lymphatics system are also desirable. It is expected that the candidate will contribute to undergraduate, graduate and/or medical student educational initiatives and will direct a highly productive and collaborative research program that is maintained by continued significant extramural funding.

Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in physiology, pharmacology, or related fields
