Our client in Rensselaer County, NY is in need of a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a full-time assignment!

Job details:

  • Start - ASAP
  • Full-time Monday-Friday
  • Days position- no weekends, no call
  • Operated by Samaritan Hospital
  • NP has both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
  • NP’s work closely with the Colorectal and Urology surgeons for pre-surgery site markings and to ensure patients and their families receive the education they need on ostomies- what to expect, life adaptations and follow-up care post-procedure.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of ostomy patients, including evaluation of wound status, skin integrity, and overall health.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring optimal wound healing and management of complications.
  • Provide patient education on ostomy care techniques, skin maintenance, and prevention of complications.

Job Requirements:

  • Board Certified (by time of start) NP - REQUIRED
  • NY License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • WOCN Certification (note in "Additional Submission Details" field) - REQUIRED (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • Knowledge and experience with wound care and ostomies (note in "Experience" field) - REQUIRED
  • DEA (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • At least 1 year of NP employment experience, preferably in wound care management with an on ostomy care (note in "Experience" field) -HIGHLY PREFERRED

  • Competitive salary range with incentives: $114,430-123,584. (The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.)
  • Relocation Allowance, if applicable: The amount is determined by the distance they are moving from to the facility. It is a reimbursement-based system. Providers receive the amount in their contract, and they can submit receipts for reimbursement up to that amount.
