Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with urological conditions, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and reviewing diagnostic test results (e.g., urine tests, imaging studies).
Diagnosing and Treating Conditions: Diagnose common urological issues such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney stones, incontinence, enlarged prostate (BPH), erectile dysfunction, and other urinary disorders. develop and implement treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications or therapies.
Procedures: Perform minor in-office procedures such as catheter placements, bladder scans, post-void residual (PVR) tests, and, in some cases, cystoscopy or urodynamic testing under supervision, depending on the state’s scope of practice laws.
