As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be on the frontline of healthcare, providing rapid assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for a wide range of acute conditions. You will work closely with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care. This role offers a stimulating mix of autonomy, collaboration, and professional growth in an urgent care setting.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and infections across all age groups.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications when appropriate.
Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and abscess drainage.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory studies.
Educate patients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventative health measures.
Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex case management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical system.
Stay current with best practices and advancements in urgent care and primary care medicine.
Qualifications
Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Valid state license to practice as an FNP
Minimum of 1 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred
Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Excellent communication, patient education, and teamwork abilities
Dedication to patient-centered care and continuous learning
Working Hours
8am to 8pm
