- Other Details: This Urgent Care locum position at a Community Health Center requires an FNP with at least two years of experience, a clean background, and recent face-to-face patient contact within the past year. The provider must hold an active WA license and DEA. The contract is for three months, with the possibility of extension, working a fixed schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 9 AM to 8 PM). The role involves seeing up to 16 patients per day across all age groups, including newborns to geriatrics, in an outpatient ambulatory setting. Providers must be comfortable with routine urgent care, chronic disease management, and walk-in acute care services. The clinic serves a diverse population, including migrants and refugees, with interpretive services available. Support staff includes a dedicated medical assistant, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, and often an onsite pediatrician. One-week onsite orientation will be provided before patient care begins on day three. Any required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS) must be obtained by the provider.

Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, including chronic disease management and minor procedures.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, managing up to 16 patients per day.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical assistants, mental health therapists, dietitians, and pediatricians.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient care management.
- Participate in a one-week orientation, with patient care beginning by day three.
Qualifications
- Active Washington state license and DEA required.
- Clean background with no malpractice history.
- Recent face-to-face patient care experience within the past year.
- Must obtain any required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS) before credentialing.
- Experience in community health or working with vulnerable populations preferred.
Working Hours
- Fixed schedule: 4 days per week (Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays).
- 10-hour shifts (9 AM - 8 PM) with a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
- No block scheduling; providers must work consistently each week.
