JOB TITLE (#1611): Nurse Practitioner / Urgent Care - Bronx, NY

Minimum of 6 months experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine

Requirements of Nurse Practitioner:

  • Must have an active NY State License
  • Must be Board Certified
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient’s condition or illness
  • Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
  • Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests
  • Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
  • Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
  • Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
  • Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
  • Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
