We are seeking a skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide temporary support in a vascular surgery setting. The role involves assisting with preoperative and postoperative care, including patient assessments, developing care plans, and managing follow-up appointments. You will also assist vascular surgeons in the operating room, performing procedures under supervision and providing intraoperative support.

In addition, the NP/PA will monitor patient progress, including recovery and potential complications, and prescribe necessary medications such as pain management and anticoagulants. Educating patients on recovery, wound care, and lifestyle changes for vascular health is a key responsibility. Strong collaboration with the surgical team, including nurses and medical staff, is essential for delivering comprehensive care. The position requires accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Qualifications

Board Certified (ANCC, AANP NCCPA) - REQUIRED
Active VA License - REQUIRED; no exceptions
BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
MUST BE AVAILABLE 3 DAYS/WEEK
CLEAN BACKGROUND - REQUIRED

Working Hours

Shift Type: Days
Sift(s) Description: M-F; 8:30am-4:30pm
Weekend Requirements: Yes; 2-3 night of call per week
On Call Requirements: Yes; 2-3 night of call per week
