Possible Procedures: Lines (arterial and venous) are placed, chest tubes are removed, packing wires are placed, IABPs are placed, and ECMO decannulation is performed. Chest tube insertion is rare but possible with assistance from the attending surgeon.
- The CT surgery team doesn't do advanced heart failure, VADs, or transplants.
- Candidate will not work solo

Job Responsibilities

First, assist with conduit harvesting, inpatient rounding, and consults.

Qualifications

ACLS; BLS; Board Certification; DEA-controlled Substance Registration Certificate

Working Hours

Typically, the first surgical case starts between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m., and the day ends between 4:30 and 5:00. In most cases, the patient is finished no later than 5:00. Weekend call coverage is needed.
