Hospital, a 127 bed Level III Trauma, seeks an additional Advanced Practice Caregiver to join our collaborative, growing Cardiology service line.
Job Description:
- Board certified NP/PA, at least 2 years of Inpatient Cardiology experience (not including RN or training experience)
- Accepting full-time (80 hours per pay period) and part-time (60 hours per pay period) candidates.
- 8:00 am-4:30 pm clinic hours
- 6:00 am-4:30 pm Cath lab hours
- Opening due to growth and expansion of services
- High caliber, collegial team
- Four 10-hour shifts after orientation completion
- No call, no weekends
- Rotate: 1 week in hospital, 1 week in clinic
- Willingness to provide outreach services to nearby critical access hospitals

- Outpatient Clinic-15-18 patients per day
- Cath lab-6-8 patients per day
- 4 physicians on staff
- The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is manages cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director.

- Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patient, families, other healthcare staff, and other departments

- Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth, and collaborating with others to provide solutions for continued patient quality - PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
- Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
- Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision
- Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects
- Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair
- Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids
- Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
- May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
- May require periodic use of personal computer - EPIC EMR
- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
