We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to assist our Vascular Surgeons promote lifestyle changes, medical management and tailored advanced vascular and endovascular techniques as part of the prevention and ongoing treatment of vascular disease. This individual will conduct pre- procedure assessments and post-procedural follow-ups of patients undergoing endovascular procedures, surgery visits, order appropriate laboratory studies, recommend noninvasive imaging and review current medications. This part-time position is a hybrid role: a combination of in person visits to Post Acute facilities in the Tampa area and remote telehealth visits. This provider will have a high level of autonomy in managing complex vascular patients in parallel with our supervising physician. This position may need to conduct independent sessions of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Patient assessments, treatment plans and follow-up visits.
- Recognize scenarios which would require escalation of care.
- Ordering lab sets, drawing blood, and employ the use of noninvasive imaging. Evaluate test results and collaborate with supervising physician and other healthcare providers.
- Asses and problem-solve following medical guidelines and protocols.
- Develop patient care pathways, protocols and guidelines for managing specific problems with physician and other health care team members.
- Serve as a knowledge resource and act as a role model in medical and nursing practices.
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
- Detailed knowledge and experience of common geriatric vascular disease, medical management and treatments
- Ability to provide both telehealth and onsite visits to skilled nursing facilities.
- Must be able to commit to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, 2 or more hours time block each time
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with patients, family members, and other medical professionals.
- Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with other medical team members in utilizing approved protocols, procedures, and expert consultation for our neurovascular patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Nursing Licensure, Certification, and Registration
- Current, valid Florida APRN license Certification through the ANCC, AANP (or equivalent certification body)
- Current BLS required Medicare NPI #, 855I and 855r on file (Independent NP Medicare Provider Number/PTAN#)
- Must be able to commit to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.(in 2 or more hours time block each time)
- No weekends or evenings at this time.
- Vascular-focused clinical experience (3+ years)
- Geriatrics and telehealth experience are highly preferred.

Our clinician-focused technology and resources will help you:
- Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations.
- Formulate treatment plans as needed.
- Prescribe medications with proper dosage and administration instructions.
- Oversee telemedicine patient flow and daily functions of the telemedicine shift.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records of patients' contact details, medical history, prescribed medications, allergies, diagnoses, and progress.
- Maintain integrity, availability, and confidentiality of all PHI
- Oversee the reporting of diagnostic testing results, follow-up treatment, referrals, and recovery.
- Participate in quality assurance and care improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to HIPAA standards for information security, privacy, and confidentiality.
