Thoracic Surgery APP with Banner University Medicine in Tucson, AZ

In partnership with the University of Arizona, the Department of Surgery at Banner - University Medicine Tucson is now interviewing for a Thoracic Surgery APP to expand our robust and established practice of clinical faculty and advanced practice providers. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic PA/ACNP with interest and experience in Cardiothoracic surgery to join our engaged and supportive Interventional Pulmonology team. Our APP will assist in seeing new lung nodule patients in clinic, post-operative patients, and urgent follow-ups. There is also an opportunity to help with in-patient rounding and intra-operative first-assisting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• ACNP is required to have an RNFA certificate at the time of application
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of AZ
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS

Practice Details:

• Full-time (40 hrs. per week)
• Department Hours between 7am – 4pm (with some schedule flexibility)
• Inpatient/Outpatient position
• Must be able to see new patients, triage post-operative and urgent Thoracic surgical patients.
