Setting: Level II Trauma Center

Duties:

Required Procedures: Low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). High risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement.

EMR: Cerner Care B

Support Staff: There will be one other Trauma NP/PA who works day shift (7a-5p).

Submission Requirements
  • NCCPA or ANCC Certified – Required
  • CA active license – Required (NPs must have CA NP furnishing number); Completion of CA CSEC (California Controlled Substance Education Course (PA's Only)
  • CA DEA, ACLS, ATLS – Required during credentialing
  • Availability at time of name clear – Required
  • Clean Malpractice / Background - Highly preferred
  • Must be actively working at a TJC-accredited hospital - Required
