Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), specifically Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners, with experience in trauma and general surgery to provide locum coverage at a respected medical center in Richland. This opportunity offers a structured schedule of 7 days on, followed by 7 days off, with a focus on maintaining high-quality patient care. Candidates must be adept at managing pediatric surgical cases as part of their responsibilities. This position does not require call coverage but involves a combination of scheduled clinic hours and inpatient care.

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive surgical care, including trauma procedures, within a well-supported hospital setting.
Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care.
Handle a variety of cases with a focus on pediatric surgeries and trauma procedures.
Document patient encounters and manage treatment plans using the Epic electronic health record system.
Participate in a rotating schedule to maintain seamless service coverage.

Qualifications

Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Active Washington state license or eligibility for licensing via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS (preferred).
At least 2 years of experience in surgical practice, with trauma and pediatric surgical competencies.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Working Hours

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience in both inpatient and outpatient surgical settings.
Familiarity with Epic EHR is advantageous.
Demonstrated success in managing pediatric trauma cases.
