Job Description
Seeking a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner to work alongside three board certified general surgeons in an established practice.
- Full-time position primarily in Fergus Falls, MN with potential for occasional outreach to additional internal facilities; 36 patient contact hours/week requirement.
- Conduct physical pre-operative examinations, assess patients' medical histories, and perform relevant diagnostic tests.
- On a weekly basis, serve as a first assistant during general surgical operations and regularly support patients at the wound care center to include: suturing, removing sutures or staples, and assessing for signs of infection.
- Provide detailed pre-operative and postoperative instructions to patients ensuring they understand the procedures and recovery process.
- EPIC EMR System
- Optional call that would be primary call but not for trauma.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base compensation salary is guaranteed for the first 2 years of employment, plus the opportunity to earn additional income based on production volumes.
