The cardiac surgery program at Einstein Jefferson Phila is seeking an experienced, FT, non-surgical cardiac surgery APC! This program is rewarding, bringing advanced cardiac surgery services to an underserved population. This program highly values their APP's. Schedule is primarily 4 10's, and dayshift. There will be an every 3rd weekend responsibility.

In this role, the APC will primarily coordinate and manage the outpatient cardiac surgery service in conjunction with attending surgeons. This is a hybrid role with primarily outpatient, but inpatient responsibilities as well.

Responsibilities (as approved by the Medical Staff Board):

• Primarily responsible for coordination and management of Cardiac Surgery Clinic - care related to outpatients, pre and postoperative heart surgery
• Responsible for inpatient care related to pre and postoperative heart surgery patients in the CCU and Telemetry unit as defined by surgical attending.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic bedside procedures
• Assure clear and concise transfer of clinical information between nurses, clinical staff and physicians
• Assist in data collecting of information related to any research trials within the department of Cardiothoracic
• Maintaining communication with other clinical service

• Working Conditions: Routine activities involved in patient clinical care

• NCCPA certification or National Certification as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Required
• 1 - 2 years’ experience required, preferably in CCU/Cardiac Surgery setting
• Pennsylvania State license for physician assistant or CRNP
