Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Bariatric Surgery – Denver, CO

About this role:

As an APP in Bariatric Medicine/Surgery you’ll work with a team of 2 Surgeons and 3 other APPS to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Here are some highlights you can expect.

  • You would practice at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado
  • Your hours will be Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, no call, no weekends
  • This is a full scope position working in the clinic, hospital rounding, and in the OR
  • You will see approximately 13-14 patients per day for H&Ps, follow ups, and assisting with new consults, follow-up management and elevate to surgeon as appropriate
  • Triage incoming referrals to include pre-charting and discern which provider the patient should see and timing of appointment
  • You will also work in the OR ~2 times per week, so first assist experience is needed

What you’ll bring:

We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program or an accredited School of Nursing
  • Unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of Colorado, required or able to obtain
  • DEA and BLS
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a NP or a PA in a bariatric and/or surgical setting with first assist experience, required
  • Ability to educate patients on weight loss/bariatric options highly preferred

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$49.86 - $76.93
