About the Role:

With Trusted Locum Staffing, join St. Joseph’s Health Hospital's esteemed surgical team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in General Surgery. This part-time/weekend position offers the opportunity to work autonomously in a leading healthcare facility with a strong focus on innovative surgical care.

Position Details:

• Type: Part-time/Weekend Coverage
• Unit: General Surgery
• Shift: Friday - Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
• Operating Rooms: 14
• Surgeons: 8 general surgeons in the practice
• Patient Age Demographic: 16+
• EMR: EPIC
• Supervision: Supervising physician available at all times, but not necessarily on-site

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-op physical exams
• Suture removal
• Diagnose and treat illnesses
• Order and interpret tests
• Assist in surgery
• Write prescriptions
• Coordinate care

Requirements:

• Certification: NCCPA for PAs, RNFA & FNP for NPs
• Experience: 3+ years in and out of the OR (no new grads)
• Skills: Proficient in Da Vinci Robotics Si and Xi, certified
• License: NY license required
• Background: Clean background with no malpractice
