We are currently recruiting a Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a top-performing team at a leading health system in Central Massachusetts.

About the Facility: The leading health system in Central Massachusetts is renowned for its exceptional patient care, academic excellence, and commitment to cutting-edge research. This institution is dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare to its diverse patient population. With a focus on cardiac surgery, including advanced procedures such as open and endovascular aortic repair, coronary revascularization, and mechanical circulatory support, the organization performs over 500 cases annually.
Responsibilities:
This full-time position offers a dynamic schedule with a day/night shift rotation, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including 15 Advanced Practice Providers, 2 Cardiac Surgeons, and 5 Surgical Intensivists.
Under the general supervision of a physician, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical services, including:
- Obtaining complete medical history and performing physical examinations.
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Formulating diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prescribing and/or dispensing medication.
- Assisting in surgery or other invasive procedures.
- Counseling patients and families.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree and Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current Massachusetts license, issued by the Physician Assistant Board, and current NCCPA certification.
- Previous experience in cardiothoracic surgery is required.
