While experience in sleep or pulmonary medicine is preferred, it is not mandatory, as on-the-job training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

Perform evaluations, diagnose, and manage patients with various sleep disorders, including fatigue, snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs, narcolepsy, and parasomnias.

Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up visits for both adult and adolescent patients.

Review diagnostic results, including home testing and in-lab sleep studies, to assess and manage sleep disorders.

Utilize advanced PAP modalities, including BiPAP and ASV (adaptive servo-ventilation), to provide therapy for sleep-disordered patients.

Manage a chronic disease care model, following patients regularly to ensure optimal management of their sleep conditions.

Provide support to sleep techs and be available by phone for infrequent patient or technician inquiries during off-hours (no routine weekend or night "call").

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate and Massachusetts controlled substances registration.

1-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner; experience in sleep or pulmonary medicine is a plus but not required.

Compassion, maturity, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with other providers and support staff.

Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or willingness to learn is a plus.
