Healthcare United is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Sleep Center team, working 1–2 days per week. Opportunity Details
As a Nurse Practitioner at the Sleep Center, you will:
- Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up visits for patients with sleep disorders.
- Evaluate and manage symptoms such as fatigue, snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs, narcolepsy, and parasomnias.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, including home testing and in-lab studies.
- Prescribe and manage therapies such as BiPAP and ASV (adaptive servo-ventilation).
- Work collaboratively with a Sleep Medicine Physician and a Nurse Practitioner in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
- Participate in the chronic disease care model for adult and adolescent patients.
Schedule:
- Part-time, 1–2 days per week.
- No routine weekend or night calls, but occasional phone availability for patients and sleep tech inquiries.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License.
- Valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration.
- 1–5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Compassion, maturity, and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Prior experience in sleep or pulmonary medicine is preferred but not required (on-the-job training provided).
