Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist--Hospitalist scheduling

SPECIALTY: PSYCHIATRY - ADULT INPATIENT

LOCATION: KANSAS -Kansas City area

DESCRIPTION:

• FT Inpatient 40 hrs per week (M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), NO Telehealth
• 24 beds with a new hospital opened start of 2025; seeing census at 16-20 average of operation
• Staffing assistance with a NP who can work overflow needs
• Will consider a hospitalist 7 on 7 off schedule to maximize your time
• The 7 on 7 off schedule would have call each night and maximize time while working the hospitalist schedule
• Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing. call: 1-2 times per month options if working Monday-Friday schedule
• Can become a locums to direct hire option
• Work and visit the best city to commute in with lower cost of living than most US cities.
• Brand new Kansas City airport with ease of travel to and from assignment

Setting:

• Round in a inpatient hospital setting that is brand new and state of the art
• Document patient progress and treatment plans per accrediting standards. Work with a joint commission medical director.
• Assess medical and psychiatric changes, including lab results.
• Review and update medication and treatment orders regularly.
• Complete both new intakes and discharges.
• Participate in meetings and treatment team discussions with a compassionate team and great medical director leadership.

REQUIRED:

• KS license, active and unrestricted or willing to obtain
• At least 1 yr post residency experience or will consider new graduates that are truly board eligible.

Additional Information:

• EHR is WellSky
• Regular supervision and peer review of work.
