Join our client’s compassionate behavioral health team as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Queens, NY. This part-time role focuses on providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and wellness education to clients in need. You’ll work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health care and improve the well-being of individuals and families.
Compensation: $100/hour
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: 3 days/week, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

Responsibilities as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Client Care: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications (including MAT), and monitor treatment outcomes.
- Medication Management: Adjust medication regimens, educate clients, and lead wellness management classes.
- Collaboration: Coordinate care with psychiatrists and the treatment team, addressing referrals and ensuring seamless communication.
- Compliance: Complete treatment plans and documentation in line with regulatory and agency standards.
- Education and Training: Develop and lead client education programs on medication and wellness.
- Crisis Support: Provide crisis intervention, health monitoring, and follow-up care for clients.
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent required.
- Licensure: Valid New York State Nurse Practitioner License and registration.
- Certifications: Holds current CPR (BLS) and First Aid certifications, DEA registration, and ANCC Certification, with MAT certification required within 6 months of employment.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Nurse Practitioner with experience in prescribing suboxone and supporting mental health or substance use programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), preferably Netsmart myEvolv, and statistical software.
- Attributes: Strong oral and written communication skills, crisis intervention capabilities, and teamwork proficiency.
- Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
