Adelphi is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide care to students at a residential training facility in Greenville, Kentucky (KY). The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing mental health services for students. The ideal candidate must be licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:
• Review counseling staff's intake assessments for students with a mental health history, current concerns, or those requesting consultation within one week of arrival.
• Conduct mental health assessments and provide recommendations for referred students.
• Offer short-term counseling with mental health check-ins as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
• Collaborate with facility program specialists to provide short-term counseling for students with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
• Work with the facility physician and health and wellness staff to monitor psychotropic medication for stable students, consulting psychiatrist advice if necessary.
• Facilitate referrals to off-facility mental health professionals or agencies for additional support.
• Assist counseling staff in developing and leading psycho-educational skill-building groups.
• Participate in regular case conferences with counselors and other staff members to discuss individual student needs.
• Provide clinical consultation to the facility's management regarding mental health promotion and education initiatives.
• Deliver a minimum 1-hour presentation on mental health promotion for all new students.
• Organize at least one annual facility-wide mental health promotion and education activity.
• Coordinate with other departments and programs to develop integrated mental health promotion and education services.
• Other duties as assigned by the facility's administration.
