The Cedar Hill R.M.C. in Washington, D.C. is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our exceptional Consultative Liaison and Emergency Department (ED) services team. This full-time PMHNP position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary healthcare environment. The role will primarily focus on consultative liaison and emergency department services, with potential backup support for inpatient services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert psychiatric care in a consultative liaison setting and emergency department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners (NPs), therapists, RNs/LPNs, care coordinators, and mental health workers.
- Support medical-surgical units, inpatient psychiatric services, and the ED as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 3-5 years of clinical experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary treatment setting, ensuring the best outcomes for patients.
- Experience providing psychiatric care across a range of settings, including inpatient and emergency services, is preferred.
Qualifications:
- NP or DNP degree from an accredited program.
- Board certification in psychiatric mental health nursing (PMHNP).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice as a PMHNP in Washington, D.C.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in psychiatric mental health.
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating providers.
