Requirements to apply:
Degree: Masters of Science in Nursing
Licensure: Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with current MA License to practice
Certification: Current BLS Certification required, Current MCSR and DEA
Experience: Two years of experience prescribing psychotropic medication to adult psychiatric patients with license
- 2 or more years of experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred, minimum of 1 year required
- Experience in the development and implementation of geriatric programs
Preferences: One year of experience working in a community health center setting highly desired
- Experience with grant reporting and compliance preferred.
- Basic to Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and familiarity with using Electronic Medical Record (EMR), EPIC/OCHIN desired.
Schedule: Must be able to travel in a timely manner to ESP sites, patient's homes and affiliated sites as needed.

Role Overview
The Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner coordinates psychiatric services with the Behavioral Health Director and Psychiatrist as well as provides direct services to elderly patients with mental health issues, substance abuse disorders and dual diagnosis. Duties include but are not limited to evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions; issuing prescriptions and maintenance of all clients on psychotropic medication; and assumes leadership role in case conferences and in-service training of staff and actively participates in peer and utilization review.
