Our client seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for their ACT/FACT Team in the Bronx, NY, to provide field-based psychiatric care, assessments, and medication management for adults with complex mental health and substance use needs as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Compensation: $105/hour
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

Responsibilities as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Psychiatric Assessments: Conduct in-depth psychiatric assessments, formulating treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Medication: Prescribe, monitor, and administer psychotropic medications, adjusting as necessary to support optimal client outcomes.
- Crisis Interventions: Provide crisis intervention during business hours, offering consultation to the team during off-hours as needed.
- Collaboration: Lead and engage in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to evidence-based practices and policy development.
- Coordination: Work with family members, community providers, hospitals, shelters, criminal justice personnel, and other resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Licensure: Nurse Practitioner license in New York State required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in Psychiatric or Community Mental Health settings required.
- Certifications: NPI, DEA, and Medicare/Medicaid credentials required.
- Skills: Proficiency in managing complex mental health cases and knowledge of community-based treatment approaches.
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
