Job Overview – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time):
Step into a key role as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with our client's ACT/FACT Team in New York, NY. Provide compassionate, field-based care to adults facing serious mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and co-morbid conditions. Collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team to deliver impactful, patient-centered care.

Compensation: $105/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 3 Days/Week, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM


Responsibilities as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time):
  • Psychiatric Care: Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations for clients.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and administer psychotropic medications as needed.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services during business hours and consultation during off-hours.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead and participate in clinical case conferences, team meetings, high-risk discussions, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Care Coordination: Communicate with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene regarding Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) cases and provide required status updates.
  • Documentation: Complete clinical and administrative documentation via the Electronic Health Record in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time):
  • Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York required.
  • Certifications: Current NPI, DEA, Medicare, and Medicaid certifications required.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of Clinical experience, with a preference for expertise in mental health or substance use disorder treatment.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Exceptional clinical and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset for working effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
