Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team in San Diego, CA, who can work in an Outpatient clinic.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and mental health evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans, emphasizing evidence-based interventions and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
  • Prescribe and manage medications for addiction and other health conditions, monitoring efficacy and side effects.
  • Provide ongoing patient education and counseling on substance abuse, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
  • Medical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members, such as clinical staff and other patient care team members to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.

Qualification/Experience:

  • Master's degree or Doctorate Degree in Nursing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience in psychiatry hospital or a clinic required
  • Min 2-3 years of experience working in Psychiatric setting

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of California
  • Active DEA License
