Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (New Graduates Accepted) - Asheville, NC
Shifts: Days (Mon-Fri)
Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our medical team. The Medical Provider will assess and evaluate the delivery of psychiatric and physical care to patients in the program.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and mental health evaluations.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans, emphasizing evidence-based interventions and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
• Prescribe and manage medications for addiction and other health conditions, monitoring efficacy and side effects.
• Provide ongoing patient education and counseling on substance abuse, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
• Medical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members, such as clinical staff and other patient care team members to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.
Qualification/Experience:
• Master's degree or Doctorate Degree in Nursing as Nurse Practitioner
• Experience in addiction medicine, psychiatry, or a related healthcare field preferred
• Min 2-3 years of experience working in Psychiatric or Addiction medicine setting
• New Graduates are also accepted
Licenses/Certifications:
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of North Carolina
• Active DEA License
