Join our client's interdisciplinary ACT/FACT Team in the Bronx, NY, as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, where you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health care to adults with serious mental health diagnoses, substance use disorders, and co-morbid medical conditions.
Compensation: $150,000/year
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

Responsibilities as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and administer psychotropic medications to clients.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services during regular hours and offer consultation during off-hours.
- Regulatory Communication: Communicate with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) regarding the status of clients.
- Documentation: Complete all required clinical documentation via an Electronic Health Record in compliance with payer, funder, and regulatory requirements.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate care with family members and community treatment providers, including hospitals, housing providers, and primary care providers.
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Psychiatry or a related field.
- Licensure: Nurse Practitioner licensed in New York State.
- Experience: Previous psychiatric experience as an RN/PNP is preferred (new grads will be considered).
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
