Job Title: Telehealth Virtual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telehealth Virtual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with specialized experience in child psychiatry and a strong preference for experience in treating eating disorders. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric services to children and adolescents, ensuring the highest quality of care in a virtual setting.
Practice Setting(s):
Outpatient Clinic, Psychiatry/Behavioral Health
Schedule:
7a-5p, 5 days a week
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment to pediatric patients via telehealth.
Monitor and manage prescribed medications, conducting reviews every three months.
Educate patients and their families on medication side effects, efficacy, and overall treatment plans.
Maintain a thorough understanding and application of psychotropic medications in treatment.
Requirements:
Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) registration in the relevant state within 60 days of hire.
Prescriptive authority (RXN) and DEA registration within 60 days of hire.
Experience in treating patients with eating disorders is highly preferred.
Pediatric psychiatric experience is required.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Current and unrestricted RN and APN licenses.
Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and their management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
