About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Behavioral Health Department. This position offers autonomy and the opportunity to take the lead in managing your patient panel. You will provide intake assessments, formulate treatment plans, and manage medications for a range of psychiatric conditions
Patient Population: Our practice serves a highly disadvantaged population, providing you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Patients present with mild to moderate mental health conditions, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, schizophrenia, and ADHD.
We seek a well-rounded practitioner comfortable treating diverse mental health conditions or aspiring to grow into this role.
Position Highlights:
◦ Work Schedule: Flexible scheduling available between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No on-call duties.
◦ Employment Type: Open to both full-time and part-time positions.
◦ Work Environment: While in-person work is preferred, we offer a hybrid option, allowing for some remote days.
◦ Team Support:
◦ Dedicated support staff for scheduling, prior authorizations, paperwork, and patient communication.
◦ A team of eight providers, including MDs and NPs, ensuring robust coverage during vacations or leave.
◦ Technology: We currently use Cerner electronic health records and will transition to Epic in the coming years. Both are widely regarded as favorites among healthcare professionals for their efficiency and user-friendly design.
Responsibilities:
◦ Conduct intake assessments and periodic evaluations.
◦ Develop and implement treatment plans.
◦ Manage medications for psychiatric conditions.
◦ Provide patient education about diagnoses, treatments, and health maintenance.
◦ Maintain clear, concise, and timely documentation.
◦ Collaborate with other providers to ensure continuity of care.
Adventist Health Clear Lake is actively seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their busy and growing behavioral health team in beautiful Northern California. Integrating psychiatric care into medical services has been shown to prevent re-hospitalization and lower costs. Hybrid telehealth options available.

The ideal candidate is a provider who is excited to provide compassionate care to patients in one of the small towns in Adventist Health’s Northern CA region. This is an outstanding opportunity for a provider who wants to live in a beautiful, family-friendly community and work with established providers in an under-served patient population. Although this position is full time, part-time options are available. This option is to be employed with our affiliated medical group to work within the multi-specialty rural health clinic which is 100% outpatient. No call is required and a Monday through Friday 8-5 schedule is preferred. Patient referrals come from 7 different towns surrounding Clearlake with a patient base of 30,000.
Candidates must be California licensed or eligible and meet Adventist Health’s medical staff credentialing requirements.

About the Medical Center
Adventist Health Clear Lake (AHCL) is a 25-bed Critical Access medical center in Clearlake, California, serving Lake County. Services include 24-hour emergency care, diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT mammography), home care, ICU, laboratory, maternity, physical rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, surgery, and ten rural health clinics around the lake that provide primary care, behavioral health, dental care, OB/GYN, pediatrics and specialty health care services.
In 2019, AHCL had 1,352 admissions, 159 deliveries, 22,364 emergency visits and 66,960 outpatient visits. Our Rural Health Clinics had 149,021 visits. The medical center is staffed by more than 40 physicians, 571 employees and 51 volunteers.

Salary Range: $130,000-$170,000 plus incentives and benefits
